An 1890s house is not cleaned the way a 2015 house is. Original heart pine, historic plaster, and old millwork are all easy to damage with the wrong product or too much water, and the useful expertise is mostly about restraint.
Our cleaners work these surfaces dry or barely damp, and they do not use abrasives on original finishes. If your house has something specific we should know about, a waxed floor, an unsealed stone counter, tell us at booking and it goes on the notes for every visit.
If the house has not been professionally cleaned in 30 days or more, a deep clean is the right first booking. That is 31 tasks, adding tile grout, door frames, baseboards, and closet interiors to the standard visit.
Newer neighborhoods
Residential cleaning in the newer neighborhoods
North of the Isle of Palms Connector the housing changes completely. Park West and Rivertowne were built from the 1990s onward on a scale Old Village never had, mostly larger family houses on planned streets, and Carolina Park continued the pattern more recently still.
The work here is different in kind rather than in care. There is nothing fragile to avoid, so the constraint is square footage and the number of people living in it. Residential cleaning in a five-bedroom Park West house is a longer visit than a three-bedroom in Snee Farm, and the quote reflects that before you book rather than after.
This is the part of Mt. Pleasant where a weekly or every-other-week plan earns its discount fastest, because the house gets used hardest between visits.
